NorthAlto provides integrated technical, commercial and supply-chain support for flow-control, process-measurement and machinery-monitoring systems, from requirement definition and technical review through sourcing, procurement, inspection, documentation, logistics and delivery. The scope covers valves, actuation, process instrumentation and condition-monitoring equipment used across process plants, utilities, power generation and rotating-equipment systems.

Valves & Actuation

The valve portfolio includes gate, globe, ball, butterfly, check, control and pressure-relief valves, together with pneumatic, hydraulic and electric actuators. Selection is based on service function, pressure class, temperature, line size, end connection, body and trim materials, shutoff requirements, flow characteristics and actuation philosophy.

Pressure-containing valve designs commonly reference ASME B16.34, while inspection and testing may follow API 598. Gate, compact steel, ball and butterfly valves may also be specified to API 600, API 602, API 608 and API 609, while safety and pressure-relief applications commonly reference API 526 and API 527.

Replacement requirements may also include trims, seats, stems, cages, actuator accessories and other internal components where exact manufacturer, model, size and revision compatibility are important.

Process Instrumentation

Process instrumentation includes pressure, temperature, flow and level measurement equipment for control, monitoring and protection duties. Typical products include transmitters, gauges, switches, RTDs, thermocouples, flowmeters and level instruments for both new installations and replacement requirements.

Instrument selection is based on measurement range, accuracy, process connection, wetted materials, signal protocol, environmental conditions and control-system compatibility. Functional-safety applications may reference IEC 61511, enclosure protection is commonly defined through IEC 60529, and equipment installed in hazardous areas may be specified in accordance with the IEC 60079 series.

Machinery Monitoring & Turbine Protection

Condition-monitoring and machinery-protection systems are used to assess the operating condition of turbines, compressors, pumps and other critical rotating equipment. Typical requirements include vibration and proximity probes, speed and position sensors, bearing-temperature elements and turbine monitoring or protection instrumentation.

Machinery-protection systems are commonly specified in accordance with API 670. Selection requires careful review of probe range, sensor geometry, mounting arrangement, target material, cabling, signal conditioning and compatibility with the installed monitoring or protection platform.

Control & System Compatibility

Instrumentation and valve requirements may involve conventional 4-20 mA, HART-enabled, digital or system-specific technologies. Compatibility with existing control, monitoring and safety systems is therefore an important part of replacement and upgrade projects.

Requirements can be identified using valve and instrument tags, manufacturer and model information, pressure class, materials, service conditions, Cv, measurement range, process connection, area classification and system interface data.

Typical applications: process control, steam and condensate systems, water and utilities, fuel and gas service, pressure protection, turbine monitoring, machinery protection, industrial automation and plant maintenance.
